Making Strides for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Everyday Clearcover-ers demonstrate the strength of our teamwork. We are known for completing projects on time and consistently meeting and surpassing our goals while praising and supporting one another. Outside of our work-related projects, we often ban together and direct our efforts to support causes like the annual Movember fundraiser. In October, we continued this tradition and challenged Clearcover-ers to collectively raise $5,000 for the American Cancer Society during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The company-wide involvement in our Summer Fitness Challenge proved that Clearcover-ers are always looking for ways to get moving. With this in mind, we encouraged all team members to participate in the American Cancer Society's Making Strides 5Ks across the country, either in person or virtually. And, because every team activity deserves a dedicated t-shirt, we created the official Clearcover Breast Cancer Awareness month shirt available for everyone to purchase. Clearcover donated the proceeds from the sale of the shirts to the American Cancer Society, and all breast cancer survivors on our team were offered t-shirts at no cost.
On October 15th, Clearcover-ers met up at Making Strides events in North Texas and Chicago. After completing their walks or runs, everyone posted photos and updates to our company-wide Scrapbook channel in Slack, allowing us to congratulate our team members who raised nearly $1,000 by participating in the events.
Along with joining Making Strides walks, all Clearcover-ers were given the option of donating their $45 October stipend for SnackMagic, our monthly home snack delivery service. Over 150 team members contributed to this effort which raised an additional $6,885.
The SnackMagic contributions along with Making Strides donations and proceeds from the sale of Clearcover's Breast Cancer Month Awareness t-shirt raised a combined total of $8,543 for the American Cancer Society, far surpassing our original fundraising goal!
As Clearcover-ers meet deadlines, complete projects, and celebrate our wins in the workplace, we direct our collaborative efforts to supporting great causes and organizations like the American Cancer Society.
